My Old 66 GTO

This is the 1966 GTO that I had before I got my Chevelle Malibu. The body appeared to be in good shape. The floorpans were replaced with ones cut from another car. They didn't do a real good job where it meets the firewall. The trunk was rusted and they covered it with a resin of some sort. The car came with a 389. It had one dead cylinder. I rebuilt a Chevy 350-4bolt and put it in. I got so much flak from Pontiac guys that I found a 455 to put in it. It was a 4spd with 3:73 posi rearend.

This is what it looked like when I first bought it.

Had hubcaps. I added Cragers, BFG's and air shocks.

This is the 455. I rebuilt it with an Edelbrock cam and added Hedman Headers and an HEI.

This is the 350 Chevy I had in it. It was a 4 bolt main, .060 over with flat tops, big Speed Pro cam, camel hump heads with pinned studs and Crane Roller Tip Rockers, RPM intake with Holley 4150, HEI with MSD module, Accel cap, coil and wires, curve kit and adjustable vacumm advance can, and Hedman headers with Summit turbos and 2&1/2" pipes with H-pipe. It ran strong. I estimate 350-400 hp.
